Tamil director Velu Prabhakaran ties the knot with his 'Kadhal Kathai' actress Shirley Das!

The news of popular Tamil director Velu Prabhakaran's wedding to his Kadhal Kathai actress Shirley Das took everyone by surprise. They got hitched in front of the media in a low key ceremony.

Several reports suggest that they exchanged rings in a simple ceremony at a Chennai theatre. The duo claim to have been friends for about 15 years before entering into matrimonial alliance. 

Reportedly, they plan to register their marriage legally pretty soon. It was their wish to get married in the presence of the media. Prabhakaran's most recent release Oru Iyakkunarin Kaadhal Diary is about a filmmaker's relationship with his heroine. The helmer informed the media that it is about his experience as a director and he plays the protagonist in the film as well.
