Tabu hopes her Goa home will be ready for the New Year

Two-time, National-Award winning actress Tabu, who has bought herself a home in Porvorim area, Goa, was hoping to get its possession by October end. However, that didn’t happen. Now, she is hoping that she will at least get it in time to celebrate New Year’s Eve.

Tabu says, “I love celebrating the advent of the New Year. Other occasions like birthdays are fine and call for a celebration too, but ringing in a new year is the most special feeling because the whole world is celebrating at the same time. So, NYE has always been a favourite.”

To mark this special evening, Tabu seriously hopes to be able to take her family and friends along to her apartment in Goa. But sources say that there is one hitch. The building is still to get its electricity connections.  Ask Tabu whether this is true and she replies, “Yes, we are hoping to get electricity soon. I would even be game to having a candle-light dinner on NYE, but I cannot stay at my new home without lights and fans for the rest of the holiday season. So, if the electricity issue is sorted out, well, then I will head to Goa.” Otherwise, Tabu still plans to celebrate, but the destination is not known.
