Swara you have a lot of lovers: Sonam Kapoor supports 'Veere Di Wedding' co-star

Veere Di Wedding has been in the news for various reasons this weekend, from being third highest opener movie of 2018 to Swara Bhasker's masturbation scene. 

Not that Swara needed anybody defending her -- because her response to the trolls has been hailed by many -- her co-star and BFF Sonam Kapoor has now come forward to support her.

Swara became a target for trolls yet again when in a recent interview she called Pakistan a failing state. A taken-out-of-context interview clip of VDW actress was posted by Pakistani actress Urwa Hocane. The clip went viral and became fodder for online trolls. 

"They're (Pakistan) a non-secular state. I'm not surprised at all. Why should we hold up Pakistan, which is a failing state - I don't understand why we keep taking pleasure and feeling a sense of self-worth from all the silly things that happen in Pakistan," Swara has said in the interview.

The second incident was trolling occurred after the movie released on Friday and social media users who had watched the film posted responses like, "Hey @ReallySwara just watched #VeerDiWedding with my grandmother. We got embarrassed when the masturabation scene came on screen. as we came out of the theatre my grandmother said "I'm Hindustan and I am ashamed of #VeerDiWedding (sic)"

Swara had a savage response to shut them up.

Sonam Kapoor was in New Delhi to promote her movie and during the media interaction, she supported her friend. Sonam said, "I think people just like to troll her because she has an opinion & a point of view & I guess that shows how much they love her because the other side of hate is always love, so Swara you have a lot of lovers!"

Besides the trolling business, Veere Di Wedding's box office game was strong in the opening weekend. The movie has collected Rs 36.52 crore at the box office so far.
