Richa Chadha beats Swara Bhasker and Huma Qureshi to bag the lead role in South adult star Shakeela's biopic

Masaan actress Richa Chadha has been roped in to play the lead role in a biopic on Shakeela, a 1990s' actress from Kerala who featured in several adult films in Tamil, Telugu, Malyalam and Kannada languages. 

While she had signed the film some time ago, we hear she faced stiff competition for the part. Actresses like Huma Qureshi and Swara Bhasker were also in the running but it was Richa who finally got selected for the role.

Directed by Indrajit Lankesh, the yet-to-be titled biopic will go on floors this August. Richa will start learning Malyalam to get her accent and language right. 

"Richa will be taking Malayalam lessons from a tutor before she starts shooting so as to get the right diction and to justify her character. She is very excited to learn the language and start shooting for this movie," a source told Deccan Chronicle.
