After battling controversies for over a month, Sanjay Leela Bhansali Padmaavat has been making the right noises ever since the release of the film. Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh starrer has not just won audience hearts for the visual treat but has also earned 220 crores in just seven days of its release.

This Bhansali film has been made on a budget of 180 crores has already garnered 143 crores in India and 76 crores on foreign shores.

Not just the film is doing well in the US and Singapore, the film is already on it's way to break the box-office records of Aamir Khan's Dangal and Prabhas' Baahubali 2 in Australia. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh had tweeted saying, “As you read this, #Padmaavat crosses A$ 2 million in Australia… To date, only three Indian films have attained the feat… #Dangal A$ 2,623,780 #Baahubali2 [Hindi] A$ 2,407,933 #PK A$ 2,110,841 REMARKABLE indeed!” Well, Padmaavat has crossed A$ 2 million in Australia in just five days of release, so its safe to say that the film will most likely beat the record set by Baahubali 2, Dangal and PK. Don’t you agree?

When DNAAfterHrs asked Sanjay Leela Bhansali about how Padmaavat continues to go through a lot of strife…the filmmaker agreed but even said his film is blessed. Bhansali said, "There are creative angels who come and bless such films. There is some divine energy that says this is the way it should be. It is fascinating to go with the flow. If you are supposed to face the attacks or these kind of protests that we have gone through, it’s a part of the film’s destiny. All I can say is that it just makes you stronger and wants you to make the movie better. When your whole being is at stake and you feel that you are going to perish, you give the thing on hand your best shot. Then things unfold in a way. So, from January 27, 2017, when we were attacked in Jaipur to January 25 this year when the film released, it has been one whole year of strife. I cannot describe all that my team and I went through."
