Manmarziyaan's 'Grey Walaa Shade' pales in comparison to 'F for Fyaar' and 'Daryaa'

After 'F for Fyaar' and 'Daryaa', the makers of 'Manmarziyaan' released the third song from the film on August 12. Although it makes for an interesting listen when heard individually, it pales in comparision to the previous two songs. 

Composed by Amit Trivedi and sung by Harshdeep Kaur and Jazim Sharma, 'Grey Walaa Shade' might not be one of those instant hits which are added to playlists minutes after their release, but is one earthy track that compels you to sit and take notice of its unique lyrics. It's like a contemporary ghazal, that might take some time to grow on us. 

Taapsee Pannu shared the track and wrote, “Aur yeh hai aapne saamne…. Anurag Kashyap ka sabse favourite shade wala gaana #GreyWalaaShade. (Here's presenting Anurag Kashyap's favourite song Grey Walaa Shade)” Abhishek Bachchan also tweeted, “Another beautiful song, another favourite of mine. Have a listen….”

This is the first time when Anurag Kashyap has tried his hands at an out-and-out romantic drama and looks like the director is set to give the audience a completely new experience. 

Post Bombay Velvet's debacle, fans had been eagerly waiting for his next directorial venture and expectations are on an all time high. Chances of them getting disappointed are very little, as the trailer of Manmarziyaan, which was dropped on August 9, has already garnered huge love from the netizens.

Starring Abhishek Bachchan, Vicky Kaushal and Taapsee Pannu, the movie is produced by Anand L Rai and Phantom Films and is scheduled for a September 14 release.
