Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Ranbir Kapoor-starrer recently crossed the Rs 900-crore mark at the box office worldwide and continues to entertain the audience in the theatres. Indian rapper Honey Singh recently watched the film and taking to his social media, the rapper shared his views and called the filmmaker Indian Tarantino.

On Thursday, Honey Singh took to his Instagram and shared Bobby Deol's still from Animal, the rapper penned a note praising Ranbir Kapoor's performance and Sandeep Reddy Vanga. He wrote, "Now got the chance to watch this amazing movie Animal I must say @sandeepreddy.vanga is Indian Tarantino! Big up to the revolution in Indian cinema fuck the haters! What screenplay and performances big up Ranbir Kapoor."

While some users agreed with Honey Singh's point of view, others trolled the rapper. One of the comments read, "It's expected from you that you'll like the film, your songs were also like this initially." Another wrote, "Tarantino? Are you mad?" Another wrote, "Indian Tarantino? Are you kidding? Apologise to Tarantino now." Another wrote, "Honey bhai i respect you but please stop calling Emiway the Eminem of India and Sandeep Reddy Vanga the Tarantino."

Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Animal starred Ranbir Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Anil Kapoor, Triptii Dimri, Rashmika Mandanna, and others in key roles. The film was criticized by a section of society for its misogynistic and violent tone, however, many movie-goers liked the film and it was also reflected in its box office collection. The film broke several records and has collected over Rs 900 crore at the box office.

Recently, veteran lyricist and former screenwriter Javed Akhtar who is known for writing hit films like Sholay, Dewaar, and more, criticized the success of Animal and said, "Agar koi film jis mein ek aadmi ek aurat se kahe ki 'tu mere joote chhat'. Agar ek aadmi kahe ki 'aurat ko thappad maar dene mein kya kharab hai', woh picture super-duper hit ho, toh yeh badi khatarnak baat hai' (It's very dangerous when a movie, in which a man tells a woman to lick his shoe, and believes that slapping a girl is normal, works at the box office)."

Meanwhile, Honey Singh recently released his much-awaited song Kalaastar which also starred Sonakshi Sinha. The music video became an instant hit and the video has garnered 136 million views in 2 months. Netizens showered love on his new song.
