'Gangubai Kathiawadi' First Look: Alia Bhatt is sheer perfection in a never-seen-before avatar in latest posters

On Tuesday, Alia Bhatt surprised fans by sharing the logo of her forthcoming film, Gangubai Kathiawadi. The actor also announced that she will be unveiling the first look much to the excitement of the netizens. In the film, Alia will be seen in a never seen before avatar as a brother owner and a matriarch. The film is based on the book by Hussain Zaidi titled Mafia Queens of Mumbai.

Now, we have got our hands on the first look of Gangubai Kathiawadi in the form of two characters. In the first one, we see a young Gangubai (Alia) who is vulnerable and at the same time have an intensity in her. She is seen wearing a blue blouse and a red skirt with hair plaited in two. She teamed it up with a red bindi, small hoop earrings and green bangles.

While in the next poster, Alia is seen as the ultimate mafia queen with dark kohled eyes and a big red bindi with a choker necklace, nose pin and earrings. She is seen surely as someone who can rule with her aura itself.

Talking about Gangubai Kathiawadi, the film is being directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and this is his first collaboration with Alia. The male lead of the much-awaited flick is yet to be announced. For the film, Alia is leaving no stone unturned in getting into the skin of her character. She has been learning Hindi and Marathi cuss words too.

Gangubai Katiawadi is slated to release on September 11, 2020.
