Exclusive - Told Karan Johar that Kartik Aaryan is the actor we should watch out for: Manish Malhotra

In September this year, Manish Malhotra kickstarted Lakme Fashion Week with his Mijwan show. Kartik Aaryan turned showstopper for the ace designer and left everyone an impressive mark with his royal look. During the show, the actor showed his new look with long hair, kohled eyes and beefed-up physique. Now, during an interaction, Manish Malhotra showered praises on Kartik and recalled their first meet. The designer also said that he is the actor to watch out for.

Manish stated, "I met Kartik four years ago… I saw Pyaar Ka Punchnama and I really liked it. He had come to one of my fashion shows. And I got chatting with him… Mujhe kya achcha laga usske baare mein, (what I liked about him really was) he’s very passionate about acting. He spoke in his language. He was himself and there was no pretending… Some people put on a fake accent. He had a charming smile. I told Karan (Johar) this actor we should watch out for. He is a good actor, he will go places. So I am happy he has gone places."

Meanwhile, on the work front, Kartik has several films in his kitty. He will next be seen in Dostana 2 alongside Janhvi Kapoor and Laksh Lalwani. The film is directed by Collin D'Cunha and produced by Karan Johar, Hiroo Johar and Apoorva Mehta. 

Kartik also has Bhool Bhulaiyya 2 directed by Anees Bazmee and stars Kiara Advani as the female lead. The makers have roped in Tabu for a pivotal role too.
