DNA Exclusive: Ananya Panday on her character in 'Khaali Peeli'; says 'was a full Hindi Picture hero herself'

Ananya Panday the young powerhouse of talent is on the road to success with her recent film Khaali Peeli opposite Ishaan Khatter. Daunting the role of a Bambaiya girl in its complete sense the actress was also seen rocking a few action sequences in the film.

Speaking about her experience of performing action scenes, Ananya told DNA, "Doing the action in this film was something very new for me and different, but I had a blast. Parvez Bhai and his team made it feel so easy for me, so I really hope to do action in more films or maybe even an action film someday! The fact that Pooja was so empowered and no damsel in distress really drew me to her as a character and she got into the action and fought for herself. She was a full Hindi picture hero herself."

The actress is just 3 films old and has taken to a variety of roles. On the work front, Ananya will soon be seen in a Pan-India film labelled 'Fighter' with Vijay Deverakonda. Ananya also recently returned to Mumbai after an exciting shoot schedule in Goa for Shakun Batra's untitled next opposite Siddharth Chaturvedi and Deepika Padukone.

Recently, Khaali Peeli's lead Ishaan Khatter had also spoken about the film's response. Speaking about his preparation, Ishaan told Hindustan Times, "Be it preparation for a role or shooting, I don’t like to be complacent during any part of the process. Secondly, I don’t take myself any more seriously than it is required for a movie or role. I let the director set the tone. It’s something I’ve been following since the beginning of my career."
