Three pedestrians robbed at different spots in one night

Gangs strike at Subramanyapura, Indiranagar and Nagarbhavi. Gold chains and rings, mobile phones and cash taken.

Three persons where robbed while returning home in separate incidents on Saturday night.  In the first case, a motorcycle-borne gang attacked a priest in Subramanyapura and fled with gold jewellery and cash worth `1.25 lakh.

In his complaint, PS Bhanuprakash, 39, a resident of Avalahalli in Anjanapura, stated that the gang of three attacked him around 11.10 pm near Muneshwara temple while he was returning home after attending a pooja at his disciple’s house in Jayanagar.
The trio came from behind and asked him the route to reach Jigani. As Bhanuprakash turned back, the gang held him at knife-point and fled with 45-gm gold chain, two rings weighing 23 gm, three debit cards, mobile phone and `3,000 in cash.
In the second incident, a gang of two attacked the cashier of a hotel in UB City and snatched `1,500 in cash and a mobile phone from him.

Sonu, 23, a resident of Indiranagar, in his complaint with Jeevan Bhimanagar police station, stated that he was returning home after work when the two men attacked him at 13th Cross, near Indiranagar post office around 1 am.

In the third case, a gang of four snatched gold chain weighing 18 gm and `36,000 in cash from a printing press worker in Nagarbhavi. Pradeep, 38, a resident of 1st Block in Nagarabhavi, filed a complaint with Jnanabarathi police, stating that the incident happened around 11.45 pm.

He was going home after returning money he had taken from a friend. The gang, on the pretext of asking him the address of someone,  threatened him with a knife, and robbed him.
The incident occurred on Sub-register Road near BDA complex in Nagarbhavi.

The robbers, who were on a motorcycle, wore helmets, so they could not be recognised. Police are investigating all the three cases.
