Rajinikanth’s next on my mind: Ganesh Venkataraman

If any newcomer wants to wish for a dream entry into Tinsel Town, actor Ganesh Venkataraman’s first few films would make for a preferred checklist.

“I consider myself to be God’s favourite child. Why else would someone like me, who has no connections whatsoever, get to work with almost all my idols in my first few films!” says Venkataraman.

After working with actors like Amitabh Bachchan, Mohanlal, Kamal Hassan, Sathyaraj and Prakash Raj, Venkataramanhas yet another plum signing.

“I now get to work with Nagarjuna, who is another superstar, in my newest Telugu film — Damarukam. This film will be a love triangle, with actor Anushka Shetty playing the third angle,” says Ganesh.

Throwing more light on the project, he says, “This is a film which will have over half an hour of special effects. It will be in the league of films like Magadheera and Arundhati. I’m quite excited about working on this one, for it will be one of the more expensive films being produced here.”

Ganesh is rather upbeat about his Hindi debut as well. “I’m going to be working with yet another powerhouse entertainer in Kuch Log — actor Anupam Kher. We have yet another schedule left. I am lucky to be making a debut in a Mahesh Bhatt production,” says Venkataraman, who is eagerly awaiting the release of his Tamil film, Pani Thuli. Having worked with so many big names already, he says.

“I would love to work with superstar Rajinikanth. He’s one of the best entertainers we have. Though, right now, like any other Rajini fan, I just want him to be up on his feet, hale and hearty,” says Venkataraman.
