Pre-dawn raids in Bangalore, 35 criminals held

Central division police arrested 35 criminals during a raid in its jurisdiction that lasted from 5am to 9am on Thursday.

The police raided about 60 houses and found 35 criminals in their houses. All of them were arrested and some were produced in front of the tahasildar. The police have registered cases against some of these and are interrogating them. Mubarak Ali, Tarkari Kaleel and Suresha are among the criminals who were arrested.

The raids were conducted in Ulsoorgate, Ashoknagar, Wilson Garden, SJ Park, SR Nagar, Viveknagar, Sheshadripuram, Vyalikaval, High Grounds, Sadashivanagar and Cubbon Park police limits.

DCP, central division ,G Ramesh, headed the team that raided the houses. The team comprised assistant commissioners of police of Ulsoorgate, Sheshadripuram and Cubbon Park sub-divisions and police inspectors of 11 police stations. The police conducted the raid as part of their bid to nip crime in the bud.
