Partner with us, Yeddyurappa tells Georgia governor

Karnataka chief minister BS Yeddyurappa has invited Nathan Deal, governor of Georgia, the United Sates of America, to join the state government, as a partner for the Global Investors Meet (GIM) — 2012, to help strengthen ties between the two states.

In a letter addressed to Deal, Yeddyurappa also requested him to bring a business delegation for the event which would be mutually beneficial.

“During the meet, various issues to increase the co-operation between Georgia and Karnataka will be discussed, and we are keen to strengthen the ties between the two states. A number of companies from Karnataka like Infosys, Wipro etc have their base in Atlanta. We would like the relationship between the two states to grow,” the chief minister said.

In his letter, he further said, “This is aimed at giving an opportunity for investors to explore potential investment options and benefits of partnering with us, and undertaking investments in the state, especially in several sectors which have immense untapped potential.

“Capitalising on these excellent human and natural resources, the state has unveiled a succession of progressive, industry-friendly policies. To showcase these and the potential for attracting investment across a variety of sectors, the Karnataka government is organising the Global Investors Meet (GIM) in June 2012 at Bangalore,” he said in the letter.
