Former chief minister HD Kumaraswamy on Monday denied the allegations made by Yeddyurappa supporters that his party has a pact with chief minister DV Sadananda Gowda. He also said that the allegations are being made as the Yeddyurappa loyalists do not want Sadananda Gowda to continue as the CM because he is a Vokkaliga. Condemning Yeddyurappa loyalists’ repeated allegations of an alliance between him and Sadananda Gowda, the JD(S) state president maintained that he is also wondering about the real intentions behind the campaign.

“They are playing it as Sadananda Gowda is a Vokkaliga and we (Kumaraswamy and Deve Gowda) also belong to the same community. Since they have no reason to unseat him, the caste issue is being repeatedly raised. Let them investigate on the issue of our family’s alliance with the chief minister, then the truth will come out,” he said.

He announced that, JD(S) is ready to face elections at any point of time.

“I will devote most of my time about three months to strengthen the party in North Karnataka. I will start touring Mumbai-Karnataka region and Hyderabad-Karnataka region in July and the exercise will be completed by August,” he added.
He also said that BJP government is uncivilised and going for elections is the only option it has.
