Rejecting reports of dissidents holding a secret meeting, BJP state president KS Eshwarappa on Tuesday said that there was no dissidence in the party, and it was only difference of opinion.

“In a democratic setup, everyone is free to express their views. Similarly, some of the MLAs differ on various issues with chief minister BS Yeddyurappa and they came to express their views with me. In turn, I communicated the same thing to the party high command and they will take a final decision,” Eshwarappa said after a meeting with party legislators and ministers.

“Dissidents have not conducted any secret meeting and there is no necessity for it. The chief minister has assured to rectify his mistakes. We will sort out all the issues within the party forum. I am not claiming that there are no problems in the party. Yes, there are some, and those will be solved by the high command at suitable time.” he said

To a question on cabinet expansion, he said, “The BJP core committee that is meeting   within a week or two  will take a final decision.”
