Korangu’s aides nabbed in Bangalore

The Central Crime Branch of police (CCB) police, on December 9, arrested 10 rowdies who were plotting to commit a robbery. N Ravikumar alias Gali Ravi, 29; MK Ruthu Prasad, 27; M Rizwan Pasha alias Kulla, 26; G Shekar alias Sheki, 27; Avinash alias Dumma, 23; Nagaraj alias Naga, 22; Muralidhara alias Murali, 24; Ramesh, 32; Satish alias Sathi, 26; and Venkatesh VC, 20, are associates of Krushna alias Korangu Krushna, said the police.

The crime and organised wing of the CCB made the arrests near Amruth College, Rayasandra, when the gangsters were preparing to attack a rival gangster, Lokesh alias Mulamu. Police have seized draggers, a machete, a sword and other weapons, chilli powder, nine cellphones and two cars.

The gangsters had kidnapped Apsar Pasha, a scrap dealer, for ransom, said the police. Pasha was later rescued. In another case, the CCB police arrested two criminals, Raghu alias Raja alias Chappar Raja, 26, and Stephen alias Bablu, 19. The duo escaped from the police when they raided some gangsters readying to commit a crime on December 2. The police seized an autorickshaw, a motorcycle and 35 grams gold jewellery.
Three arrested for prostitution

A pimp and two women have been arrested. Imtiyaz Ali Munsi, alias Raj, 28, Jumma alias Payal, 23, and Preethi alias Dholan, 22, were running the racket in Kalidasa Layout. The police seized `2,780 cash and two cellphones.
