KIADB land scam: Another charge sheet against Katta Jagadish Naidu

The Lok Ayukta police have filed one more chargesheet against BBMP corporator Katta Jagadish Naidu and two others in the Karnataka Industrial Areas Development Board (KIADB) land scam.The chargesheet was filed before a special Lok Ayukta court on Thursday.

A source in the Lokayukta police confirmed that chargesheets were filed against Katta Jagadish and TP Muninarayanappa, former special land acquisition officer, KIADB, and gram panchayat member BK Manju.

All the three accused were also named in a previous chargesheet filed before the court recently. Former minister and Jagadish’s father Katta Subramanya Naidu was named in the chargesheet.

Investigation into the case revealed that KIADB disbursed compensation to a person, who had posed as a landowner, police said.

Instead of awarding compensation to Mary John against the acquisition of her land near Bandikodigehalli, the KIADB had disbursed the same to another person, who claimed to be Mary John.

In another incident, Muninarayanappa allegedly disbursed compensation to two persons — instead of one - for land acquired in Bandikodigehalli for developing a hardware park. This was done without securing indemnity bonds and sale deed.
