The JD (S) and BJP continue mudslinging at each other. On Saturday, the JD (S) unearthed yet another alleged land scam of chief minister BS Yeddyurappa. Later, Yeddyurappa's political secretary alleged that former prime minister HD Deve Gowda's family floated 25 companies to convert their black money into white.

JD (S) spokesperson YSV Datta alleged that Yeddyurappa has granted 115x140 sq feet land in Banashankari I Stage to the PES Society, violating rules and regulations.

Yeddyurappa's sons BY Raghavendra and BY Vijayendra, along with son-in-law Sohan Kumar, who run the Prerana Education Trust in Shimoga, sought help from PES Education Institutions chairman Doreswamy — one of the partners — to help promote the education system. So the chief minister granted the land to him," he said.

Datta released documents to prove that the chief minister allotted lands to Doreswamy last year.
He also alleged that Yeddyurappa granted lands illegally to several BJP leaders and workers. "We will disclose the details at the appropriate time," he said.

Meanwhile, Yeddyurappa's political secretary BJ Puttaswamy asked Gowda and his family to disclose the source of funding in 25 private companies which they 'floated for investment'.

"These 25 companies came into existence the year Gowda became the chief minister and more were established when his son HD Kumaraswamy ruled the state," he added.

"The Gowda family set up these firms to convert their black money into white," he charged, and questioned the magnitude of investments allegedly made by the family which 'just owned three acres.'

Gowda's family had purchased 231 acres in and around Bangalore, Puttaswamy alleged. He added that he would soon release 'documentary evidence' on purchase of at least 110 acres.
