Chief minister BS Yeddyurappa’s political secretary BJ Puttaswamy continued his verbal attack on former chief minister and JD(S) state head HD Kumaraswamy.

During Kumaraswamy’s tenure, he had issued G category sites to 10 people, including his mother-in-law Vimala, alleged Puttaswamy.

“By allotting sites under the G category to his kith and kin, Kumaraswamy had misused his power. He even challenged that if anyone could prove him guilty of nepotism, he will retire from politics. Now I’ve produced the documents,” Puttaswamy retorted.

“When Kumaraswamy was chief minister, he allotted a 60x80 sites at HSR Layout to his mother-in law and his relative Radhamma. Despite owning residential flats, they submitted false affidavit to the Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) stating they have no residence or site in the city,” he added.

When similar allegations rose against Yeddyurappa, he and his sons surrendered their sites. Now Kumaraswamy’s relatives must also surrender their sites, else the BDA should initiate an enquiry into the issue and take necessary action, said Puttaswamy. Congress and JD(S) are making baseless allegations against Yeddyurappa, he said.

“Rajya Sabha deputy chairman K Rehman Khan was facing allegations of misusing `102 crore. Why has he not resigned yet?  Before demanding Yeddyurappa’s resignation, the Congress should know about the fraudulent acts committed by their own party members,” he said.
