JD(S) MLA says he wasn’t among the robbers

Former minister and sitting MLA BZ Zameer Ahmed Khan moved the high court on Friday, challenging a chargesheet filed against him in a highway robbery case. The Janata Dal (Secular) leader said the case was the result of a political conspiracy. The high court would take up the case for hearing on February 14.

Kengeri police filed a chargesheet before the III additional chief metropolitan magistrate on February 3. Ahmed Khan and Diwana Ali, a BBMP corporator murdered on January 16, were among 13 persons chargesheeted in a case of highway robbery filed by Ziaullah Khan last year.
