IT quiz at PES Institute of Technology today

PES Institute of Technology is all set to hold its IT fest ‘Paradigm 2011’ beginning Saturday. During the two-day fest organised by the department of Bachelor of Computer Application, the theme would be child education.

“We organise this event once in two years. This time we have chosen the theme keeping in mind children’s education,” said Santosh Katti, lecturer at the college.

Students from the college regularly visit the Gurukula Vidyapeetha in Kengeri, and teach them the basics of computers. “The children from the ashram will take part in an IT quiz,” he said.

The regular IT quiz will be held for BSc and BCA students. The major events are programming and debugging, IT manager, gaming, IT quiz, amazing race, digital dig, paper presentations, web designing and dance competitions.

Seventy-eight colleges have been invited, and the organisers are expecting a large turnout. The registration fee is Rs11 a participant and for every participant, Rs1 will be given to the ashram. Every participant will be contributing Rs1 towards the orphanage.
