Infosys engineer’s death an accident: Bangalore police

The death of Swagathika Das, the 22-year-old Infosys techie, who fell from the third floor of her fiance’s building, was accidental and no foul play was suspected, police investigating the case said on Wednesday. They also ruled out the involvement of her fiance Robin in her death.

Swagathika’s body was cremated on Wednesday after a post-mortem was conducted at the Victoria Hospital. Her parents, who had arrived from Jharkhand on Wednesday morning decided against taking her body to their native.

Swagathika was the eldest daughter of Bhagirati Das, a gramin bank manager and Kusumanjari. Police said that the parents of Robin also came to Bangalore along with the Das’ parents.
