Former don’s aide behind students’ kidnap, murder in Bangalore

An associate of a criminal-turned-social activist was behind the sensational kidnap and murder of two BBM students from Hunsur, police investigation has revealed.

A special team formed to probe the case has arrested more than 10 persons. The arrested persons were from Bangalore, Mysore and Hunsur, police sources said.

The investigation also found the involvement of contract (supari) killers in the murder of Sudhindra and Vighnesh.
The teenagers were found murdered in Agalagurki near Chikkaballapur on June 12, three days after they were kidnapped from Mysore.

Though the probe has found the role of the former don’s associate in the incident, sources refused to reveal if he has been arrested. “We will talk about the case very soon,” a source said. He refused to reveal the names of those arrested.

Home minister R Ashoka would reveal the details of the case at a press conference on Wednesday.

The arrested persons are currently lodged in an undisclosed location for further interrogation. Sources said a police team was expected to return to the city from Mumbai on Wednesday. The team was dispatched to Mumbai to arrest a contract killer.

Preliminary investigation has revealed that a few close friends of the deceased had help the abductors. One of them took them near Kalinga Road in Mysore from their college premises. The abductors kidnapped them from Kalinga Road.

The special team has picked up many students of Mahajana College and friends of both students Sudhindra and Vignesh to  get a proper leads into what exactly happened on June 8.
