Yes, we are really excited. The fourth edition of Blenders Pride Bangalore Fashion Week will see a bevy of actors from different industries walk the ramp as showstoppers for some of the fashion designers. And no matter how fiery the debate, some designers favour a touch of the film industry for their shows. DNA asks a few designers on their preferred faces…

Neeta Lulla on Shruti Haasan: She is a fresh face and quite popular in Bangalore. My collection is quite young this time, and I think she will represent it aptly.

Reshma Kunhi on Nidhi Subbaih and Priyanka Upendra: Nidhi is very glamorous and she fits in perfectly for my western range of clothing. As for Priyanka Upendra, she is beautiful, classy and ideal for the Indo-Western line I’ve created.

MonaPali on Sarah Jane Dias: She is perfect to walk as the showstopper for the brand as she is versatile, vivacious and sums up the essence of the Indian modern woman of today.

Shivani and Joy on Natasha Suri: Natasha is an iconic figure with great looks, body, grace and poise. We look at her as a true Goddess of beauty, who has an Indian sensibility with a global approach.

Anuradha Paul on Neetu Chandra: Our collection, titled Virgo, requires someone bold and beautiful. Neetu is one of the very few actors who can carry any look with guts and that’s why she fits perfectly with our theme.

Gautam Gupta and Asha Gupta on Kalki Koechlin: Kalki’s personality resembles today’s girl — young, confident, talented and self-made. With our theme being modern India bride, we couldn’t think of anyone better than her to be our showstopper.

Roopa G on Haripriya: She is an old friend and one of my biggest clients. She understands my style and designs really well and was my first choice for the showstopper. This will also see her walking the ramp for the first time.

Haasya Chandna on Kulraj Randhawa: I have been styling Kulraj for quite sometime now. She is young and has a vibrant fresh face that compliments my clothes. She also is from Bangalore and will be making her ramp debut.

Anju Modi on Shriya Saran: She is one of the most sought-after actors down south and has a very Indian face. My collection is all about Meera Bai’s journey and is very Indian in nature. I feel Shriya will not only be able to identify with our brand but do justice to the look as well.

Riyaz Gangji on Zeenat Aman: When I choose my showstopper, I don’t go with the current hot face. I wanted a face with eternal beauty and someone who could be easily identified by people with the brand and Zeenat Aman is one such personality.

Archana Kochhar on Irrfan Khan and
Chitrangda Singh:
Chitrangda fits into the muse I have sketched for the line, titled Fluorescence, perfectly. She exudes the essence of the modern Indian woman who fiercely stands for her own style and grace, away from the whole hooplah of the fake celebrity hood and so does Irrfan. He is such a splendid actor of our times with a classic pause, perfection and poise in his performance.

Pria Kataria Puri on Mahima Chaudhary: She is a close friend and represents the modern fashionable woman. She is a mother and an actor who has no time to fuss about her clothes; she is perfect for my collection.

Arshi jamal on Ruslaan Mumtaz: He is good looking and dresses well. He can connect with the elite as well as has the boy-next-door charm.
