Crackdown of Baba Ramdev's camp prompts Bangaloreans to join agitation

Even youngsters who were initially amused by the goings-on at the Freedom Park were seen distributing pamphlets to aid the agitation.

The post-midnight crackdown on yoga guru Baba Ramdev's camp in Ramlila Maidan by the Delhi police prompted several Bangaloreans to join those observing a fast as part of the sage-soldier's anti-corruption campaign, on Sunday.

Several satygrahis in Freedom Park broke down on watching the Delhi police's action on Ramdev's camp. They accused the Central government of acting in a barbaric manner against the yoga guru.

Condemning the eviction of the Baba, the activists said the yoga guru launched the movement for the betterment of India. They added that the movement was not for his personal gain.
The sathyagrahis demanded the government to take concrete action, especially on bringing back to India black money stashed away in foreign banks and declaring them as national wealth.
"Getting such a huge amount of money will change the entire country," one of the protesters said.

Several people stopped by the Freedom Park to look at the sathyagrahis, but following the news of Baba's eviction from New Delhi, many passersby joined the peaceful agitation.
Hemanth Muthanna, a sathyagrahi, said he was glad that such a movement had taken place against corruption. "I see so many youths taking part in the protest and to bring relief to citizens of India by demanding the Jan Lokpal Bill. The Bill will usher in a complete change," he said.

Several people came forward as volunteers and started distributing pamphlets to passersby outside the park.
Two youths, Sunil and Deepak, were seen along with a group of friends. They looked amused by the goings-on in the park. A few minutes later, these youngsters too were seen distributing pamphlets to passing motorists, and passengers of BMTC buses.

Some others who joined the agitation let their creative juices flow, and made anti-corruption posters and banners.  "The people's response today (on Sunday) was overwhelming. I hope this enthusiasm among the people will continue till the Lokpal Bill is passed. I do not wish to see
