The lok ayukta court today posted to February 4, further hearing of two applications filed by chief minister BS Yeddyurappa's son-in-law in connection with a private complaint against him for his alleged involvement in a land scam.

Sohan Kumar, impleaded as fourth accused in a batch of private complaints filed by two city-based lawyers against Yeddyurappa and his family, including his two sons, filed two applications before the 23rd additional city civil and sessions judge and special judge CB Hipparagi last week.

The first application seeks a stay on all proceedings since a lok ayukta enquiry is already on into the alleged scam.

The second application seeks impleading of JD(S) state president HD Kumaraswamy since one of the land denotifications was carried out when he was chief minister.

When the two applications came up for hearing, counsel for the two complainants, CH Hanumanthraya filed his objections to them.

The court then posted the hearing to February 4. Hearing on the three other complaints filed against Yeddyurappa, his sons BY Ragahavendra and BY Vijayendra will be heard on three succeessive days from tomorrow.

Five private complaints were filed by the two advocates on January 22 and 24 against Yeddyurappa and his family after governor HR Bhardwaj gave sanction for prosecution of the chief minister in alleged land scams.
