Better keep off these Bangalore roads today

Bangalore traffic police have advised motorists to avoid some areas in central parts of the city on Sunday, in view of the Chitra Santhe being held at Karnataka Chitra Kala Parishat in Kumara Krupa.

Bangalore traffic police have advised motorists to avoid some areas in central parts of the city on Sunday, in view of the Chitra Santhe being held at Karnataka Chitra Kala Parishat in Kumara Krupa and the mammoth Congress rally at Jakkarayanakere, off Sampige Road.

The traffic police expect heavy traffic flow on Sampige Road, Sheshadripuram Link Road, Subedar Chatram Road, Platform Road, Dr Rajkumar Road in Rajajinagar, Sheshadri Road and Palace Road. Motorists may avoid these roads between 6 am and 5 pm.

Parking facility for the vehicles arriving for the rally has been arranged at the Freedom Park, a private parking slot on Vatal Nagaraj Road, Sirur Park in Sheshadripuram, Railway Parallel Road and Kumara Park West Road.

A separate route for buses and vehicles ferrying Congress workers from various parts of the state has also been arranged, the advisory said.
