Health Care Global’s HCG Foundation organised ‘Impressions’, a graphic art show at Swasti Art Gallery, in the HCG Hospital premises.

The exhibition showcased works by artists from different parts of the country, including Shantiniketan, Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad , Bangalore , Baroda , Chandigarh and Mysore. The exhibition showcases works of graphic art through lithography, woodcuts, and etching. Renowned artists from across India have agreed to contribute their works for a cause—helping needy cancer patients.

The proceeds of the sales will fund the HCG’s endeavour. So far, the HCG Foundation has helped more than 200 patients to get free oncology treatment. Dr BS Ajaikumar, managing director of HCG Foundation and chairman of HCG Hospitals, said: “This is a rare opportunity for art lovers to catch a glimpse of this novel form of art, which is the result of great detail and endless effort. Impressions provides a chance for the public to interact with various forms of thought behind the images, while helping those in need.”

The exhibition was inaugurated on November 2 by Chiranjeevi Singh, president, Alliance Francaise de Bangalore, former India Ambassador to UNESCO, and former chief secretary to government of Karnataka. The exhibition will be on till December 3.
