Bangalore corporator’s husband in finance fraud

The fraud and misappropriation squad of the central crime branch (CCB) of city police arrested two persons on Thursday for their alleged involvement in illegal finance business.

However, the main accused in the case, identified as Suresh, husband of Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike ward No 30 councillor, Asha, is absconding.

The police said they had seized blank sheets and other incriminating documents worth more than Rs2 crore from the two associates of Suresh from HMT Layout, Peenya.

The two arrested are identified as Pratap, 37 and Lankesh 33. The duo, along with Suresh, was running Sai Associates (finance), in VI Main, Phase III in Peenya.
