Chief Minister Siddaramaiah supported Rahul Gandhi's statement on RSS and said Godse, who killed Mahatma Gandhi, was a RSS man and the whole country knows about it.

Siddaramaiah in an interview, was answering to dna on Rahul Gandhi's statement on RSS and its role in Mahatma's killing. "Where is Godse from? Wasn't he form RSS? Entire country knows that he was an RSS man," he said.

Rahul Gandhi, who made a statement against RSS recently saying RSS killed Mahatma Gandhi and it attracted controversies.

When asked on Narendra Modi's OBC card in the election campaign, Siddaramaiah, the eminent OBC leader said that Modi is not like that. "Modi is a RSS man and entirely backed by RSS. He will do things according to the RSS directions. RSS has only announced him as a Prime Ministerial candidate cornering BJP's senior most leader LK Advani, opposition leaders in the parliament Sushma Swaraj, Arun Jaitly, and its leader Rajnath Singh, he said addding "Advani is still..still.. a leader in BJP".

When asked about Modi effect, he said, "Where is Modi wave? He did campaigning in Karnataka during Assembly elections. Whats the result? You all know, BJP lost coastal Karnataka, which was considered to be its stronghold. He can't do anything in Karnataka," he said. "BJP keep saying about Modi and Gujarat Model. For me Gujarat is not at all a model. If so, why the literacy rate is less in Gujarat," he added.

When asked about the issues which will be considered in the LS elections in Karnataka, Siddaramaiah said that both the local and national issues have its own impact on voters. He, however, said that people can't judge his nine month within nine months."I don't think the people's mind will change in this election as they still remember the bad governance given by the BJP and its corruption cases. So, Congress will definitely do good in the state with achieving 18-20 seats.," Siddaramaiah said.

However, Siddaramaiah is optimistic about his continuation as CM even after the LS election and said that all is well. "We will win atleast in 18 to 20 seats. I and KPCC chief Parameswara have perfect understanding and show good results," he ensured.

On Rahul Gandhi:
- Congress did not announce its PM candidate unlike BJP. Congress believes democracy and Sonia and Rahul rejected the offer earlier. Only the elected MPs will decide about their leader.

-We take any discission only after consulting with the high command. High command is not at all interfering in any state affairs. Rahul Gandhi never gave any directions to us.

On KPCC chief G Parameshwara- (on his recent statement of the Siddaramaiah government not giving preferences to Dalits and his indirect demand of DCM post)
-Its all decided by the party high command. There is no rift beteween me and Parameshwara. We are working for the same cause.

State Finance:
State finance is good. There is no problem. The growh rate is increased to 13 percent when compared to last years. The global economic slowdown effected it its own way in getting tax relaxation and other funds from the central. However, we have achieved our target and growth.

Global Investment Meet:
We will conduct Global Investment Meet to attract investments in various sectors. During the BJP regime, not a singe megawatt power. We have made arrangements to generate around 4,000 megawatt power in the next three years. Also we have foucssed on giving good infrastructure. These will attract more investors in the state as they are looking forward here.

CK Jaffer Sharief and HD Devegowda
When asked about senior Congress leader and former railway minister CK Jaffer Shareif made statement not to field any candidate against former PM HD Devegowda, he said it is Jaffer Sharief's personal view. "We have already announced a candidate against Gowda in Hassan. Its the decision of high command. There is no need of giving support to Devegowda. In Andhra Pradesh, other parties did not put any candidates against former PM PV Narasimha Rao as he was not a member of parliament when he was selected as PM. Devegowda's case is different.

Devegowda is not my guru in Janata Pariwar. We had all work together including Ramakrishna Hegde, Nijalingappa, Veerandra Patil, SR Bommai.

No infuence
I do not influence party in selecting any candidates. I go on the opinion of workers and leaders of particular constituencies. It will be discussed by them and the proposals will be sent to the state observers and central observers. The panel at the cenral level will select the candidates.

On AAP:
- Its a new party. Let us see how people are respond. They are contesting for the first time. We can't say how people respond. Let us see..

AHINDA:
- Its true that I have given more preferences to downtrodden communities. However, the schemes like Anna Bhagya, ksheera Bhagya and others will reach not only dalits or OBCs, but reach all poor belong to any communities.

Bangalore Night life:
When asked whether extending hours of night life in Bangalore is a election gimmick and whether it will extended permanently, Siddaramaiah said its not a election gimmick. "We have decided to do it on a temporary basis. We will study the merits and de-merits of extended hours for three months and then will take a decision," he said.
