Bangalore: Father rapes daughter

A 17-year-old girl was allegedly raped repeatedly over a period of three months and impregnated by her 40-year-old father. The incident came to light when the girl consulted a doctor after experiencing stomach ache.

The incident was reported in Bhuvaneshwari Nagar in Kumabalgod on the outskirts of the city. The police have detained the accused Mutturaj, a daily wage worker. The family hails from Halagur in Mandya district.

According to the police, Mutturaj had two sons and a daughter who is his second child and a first PU student. His wife works in a garment factory, while his elder son works in an apparel shop and the younger son is studying.

On Wednesday, the girl complained of stomach ache and she started vomiting at home. Her mother found that she was suffering from fever and took her to a doctor,who confirmed that she was pregnant.

“Startled by what the doctor said, the victim’s mother started questioning her, and she eventually revealed the inhuman act of her father. She told her mother that her father raped her about three months ago. The incident took place when she returned home from college on an afternoon.
When she was alone at home, her father came home drunk and allegedly raped her.”
