Vishwa Hindu Parishad leader Pravin Togadia claimed on that the Crime Branch Joint CP J K Bhatt and Prime Minister were trying to target him and the Crime Branch had released fake CCTV footage. Togadia was speaking to press after he was released from the hospital.

Togadia had gone missing for a few hours on Monday and had later claimed he had fallen unconscious when he was going to the airport. He had also claimed he feared encounter by the hostile government agencies. Crime Branch released CCTV footage that 'showed' Togadia entering a VHP member Ghansham Charandas's house- the person who later called 108 helpline to say he had found an unidentified person lying on the airport road.

Togadia claimed the footage was fake just like the alleged sex CD of Bharatiya Janata Party leader Sanjay Joshi. "The Sanjay Joshi CD surfaced during BJP's silver jubilee function and that killed his political career. In the same manner, they have made the fake CCTV footage," he said adding that he was going to take legal action against the Crime Branch.

Togadia also alleged that the Crime Branch Jt CP Bhatt was in constant touch with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his actions were as per the instructions from his political bosses.

"Bhatt's incoming and outgoing calls' details will reveal everything. Crime Branch has turned into a Conspiracy Branch for political agenda," he said. Bhatt refused to get into the controversy saying Togadia's statements did not make any sense and he did not want to say anything more than that.
