A team of 21 people was continuously monitoring 441 sensitive booths in 21 constituencies via webcasting on Thursday.

The team had installed 441 cameras at these booths, 21 most sensitive ones from the select constituencies to see what was happening in real time. Data was collected from the past three elections to identify these booths.

Rajendra Sarvaiya, the Addition district election officer, said, "Entire footage is stored on our hard drive for further reference. Also the real time monitoring would have come handy in case there were some issues that needed immediate intervention."

Apart from the CCTV cameras, at every 441 booths, a team member was also deployed, who gave regular updates. These men were deployed at the location as a backup if there was an issue in the CCTV cameras at the time. The monitoring helped control room to tackle two EVM issues in Naroda and Jamalpur booths. Technical teams were rushed and machines were replaced immediately.
