Gujarat: Bangladeshi arrested by crime branch had killed four people in his country

He had buried the bodies of the victim behind his house in Bangladesh and had returned back to Gujarat

During the interrogation of Bangladeshi terrorist suspect identified as Mohammad Azim Fakir, crime branch officials revealed that Fakir was involved in four murder cases which happened in Bangladesh and was wanted in the case. Further investigation also revealed that he was an active member of a terrorist organisation Ansarullah Bangla Team and was hiding in Gujarat.

On Friday night, crime branch arrested Shaikh Azam Samsu aka Mohammad Azim Fakir (52), a native of Khulna district of Bangladesh and resident of Vadapada Road in Bharuch from Shah-e-Alam area of Ahmedabad and was working as a labour in a factory in Bharuch. Fakir was residing in Gujarat from the past 15 years and visited Bangladesh frequently.

Meanwhile, he had made fake government documents like PAN card, Aadhaar card, driving license etc. and all were issued from Gujarat. It was also revealed that Fakir started using the surname Shaikh in his name to get an Indian name. In all the documents, he had used Shaikh behind his name, so that nobody suspects. Regarding the matter, cops have started an investigation how did he get the documents made for himself and from whom he got it.

During interrogation, he revealed that between 2016 and 2017 he had gone to his native, during which he murdered four people identified as Bholie, Mustafa Gaazi, Rahim Abdul Gaazi and Imram Ashad. He had buried their bodies in the compound located behind his house. So far, Bangladesh police have been able to recover the bodies of two victims, while two bodies are yet to be found. Fakir was produced before the court on Saturday by the Crime branch asking for 14 days remand, in which the court has granted 7 days remand for him.

As per senior crime branch officials, "They have some specific inputs regarding the accused has some involvement in the terrorist activities, but more details will be revealed during further interrogation. Right now they suspect the accused to be involved in terrorist activities and have started an investigation regarding it."
