BJP chief Amit Shah has informed all state units of the party to celebrate 'Bharat Gaurav Parva' during August 15 to 21 this year. The week-long festival is aimed at invoking the spirit of patriotism among people and the saffron party will croon the tale of valour of freedom fighters.
The programmes will be held to booth level from state level and all BJP leaders and workers have been asked to take part in the same. This programme will be one of the outreach programmes to voters and the party will try to leave a message among the masses for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
Talking on the issue, a senior BJP leader from Gujarat informed: "We have been celebrating such festivals every year, but this time it will be special because of the upcoming Lok Sabha polls next year. The programme, however, purely will be focused on freedom struggle and freedom fighters. But we have a mantra to win over the hearts of the people through the spirit of patriotism and therefore, there will be a special session on dialogue with common people on current issues facing the nation."
"This is the direct message from Amitbhai and not for Gujarat alone, but it is for all the state units. All our ministers, MPs, MLAs, national and state-level office bearers in the party units and other elected members will take part in the programmes and they will ensure maximum participation of people. The programmes will be held in the evening so that it will not disturb the daily routine schedule of the common people," added the leader.
