Prince William's fiancee Kate Middleton is reportedly discussing wedding dresses with one of Princess Diana's favorite London designer.

British tabloid News of the World photographed Middleton's mother and sister walking into the shop of London frock-meister Bruce Oldfield.

Middleton's relatives spent an hour and a half with Oldfield, triggering rumours that he would be the official wedding dress designer.

"It must have been a special appointment because as a general rule Mr. Oldfield does not do front-of-shop work," the New York Daily News quoted a source as saying.

Oldfield specializes in 'couture occasionwear', and has designed gowns for Faye Dunaway, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Queen Noor of Jordan, among many other luminaries.

He has long been rumored to be Middleton's style guru of choice, prompting British bookmaker Paddy Power to stop taking wagers in November that he would design the gown for the April 29 nuptials.
