Eminent Yoga Guru Swami Ramdev today alleged financial irregularities to the tune of Rs1 lakh crore in implemntation of Commonwealth Games projects, saying at least one lakh new schools could have been opened with the amount.

"Financial irregularities to the tune of Rs1 lakh crore have been committed in the name of Commonwealth Games. With this amount at least one lakh new schools could have been opened. This Government has miserabley failed in controlling corruption," Ramdev told reporters here.

Welcoming the Allahabad high court's verdict on the Ayodhya title suits, he said it will pave the way for an amicable settlement of the prolonged dispute.

"It is a judgment for present and future and would facilitate an amicable settlement of the issue," he said. 

Expressing disagreement with the reaction of Shahi Imam of Delhi's Jama Masjid Syed Ahmad Bukhari to the ruling, he said, "Even if it is an agreement, as is being claimed, there is nothing wrong in it."
