David Beckham is planning to shift to Paris along with his family, after he seals a multi-million pound deal with one of the city’s most prominent team - Qatari-owned Paris St Germain.

The footballer, who will be playing the final game for LA Galaxy, is due to announce the decision before his five-year deal with the team ends on December 31.

“David is all geared up for the cup final but after that he and Victoria will make the decision over whether or not to accept the Paris deal,” the Daily Mail quoted a source as saying.

“Once the last match is out of the way, talks will ensue with his management and I suspect they will move very quickly.”

A source told the Mirror that David is determined to play at the Olympics next summer, which is why he is keen to sign for a top European club.

“David may be coming towards the end of his career but he is still so dedicated to the game and he’s desperate to go out on a high,” the source said.

“PSG could provide him with the perfect opportunity to do that.”

“It will also keep him in the mind of the Olympic Team GB football selectors. Being selected is a major priority for him.”

According to the source, the 18-month period in Paris would prove to be an attractive deal for the Beckhams at various levels.

“They want to stay in the States long term but an 18-month period living in Paris is attractive on so many levels.”

“Victoria has always liked the idea of living there and now she is heavily involved in the fashion industry she loves the idea of being surrounded by so many creative influences in the fashion capital of the world.”

“Both her and David also agree they’d like the boys to experience a culture away from the slightly surreal world of Hollywood. Paris would allow them to learn another language and meet a completely different type of person.”

“And of course, David would get one more stint in a top league, competing for major honours both domestically and in Europe,” the source added.
