Commonwealth Games Queen’s Baton Rally arrives in Nagaland on June 23

The 19 Commonwealth Games Queen’s Baton Rally will reach Dimapur on June 23, an official release said in Kohima today.

In honour of the rally, the Dimapur district administration has chalked out various programmes, including Naga ethnic tribal escorts from Dimapur airport to the DDSC stadium.

The public rally would start from Walford junction to end at the DDSC stadium where a public meeting is being arranged.

Later Commonwealth Games officials will visit the ruins of the Kachari kingdom in the town.

Altogether 40 officials of Queen’s Baton Rally, which will culminate in New Delhi, are participating, the release said.

The Queen’s Baton Rally covers all the commonwealth countries before commencement of the games.
