Inter Milan coach Rafael Benitez knows a win against Twente Enschede on Wednesday will put the holders through to the Champions League last 16 and give himself more breathing space after a woeful run of form.

Media reports have even speculated that the Spaniard could be sacked just six months into the job if Inter lose at the San Siro and club president Massimo Moratti gave a "Yes, but" answer when asked if he still had faith in the coach.

Fellow Group A side Tottenham Hotspur would also qualify with victory at home to Werder Bremen.

Barcelona, the 2009 winners, need a win at Panathinaikos to guarantee their progression from Group D with FC Copenhagen requiring the same result at Rubin Kazan to seal their first knockout-round spot with a game to spare.

Group C leaders Manchester United will rest main central defenders Rio Ferdinand and Nemanja Vidic for their trip north of the border to Rangers but a draw is enough to send them through.

Valencia would also qualify if they beat Bursaspor at home and Rangers fail to defeat United.

Olympique Lyon go to Schalke 04 trying to seal their passage but their hosts could also progress with a victory if Benfica lose at Hapoel Tel Aviv in the other Group B encounter.
