The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has said that it is likely to press criminal charges against suspended Indian Premier League (IPL) chairman Lalit Modi in Chennai next week.

According to a NDTV report, BCCI will use Modi's receipt of a $80 million facilitation fee from WSG as one of the grounds to press charges.

BCCI president Shashank Manohar termed suspended IPL chairman Lalit Modi's charges against secretary N Srinivasan about fixing of players' auction as "blatant lies".

Manohar said he is yet to decide on pressing criminal charges against Modi as authorised by the BCCI's EGM in July.
