Arsenal fan logs six million miles to watch his favourite team play

Arsenal fan Nesan Sinnadurai, a self-employed IT consultant, reckons that since 1967, he has clocked up six million miles to watch the club play.

The Sun quoted the Sri Lankan as saying that in the 31 years since he moved to the United States, he has spent 20,000 pounds a year to watch the games.

Last year, he spent so much time off work that he lost his job and a 400,000-pound home. Now he uses his retirement cash to fund the trips.

Nesan, who didn't miss a Highbury game for 12 years before emigrating, took his American wife to hospital in labour before a game.

He said: "She thinks I'm crazy."
