Pune's Bhave is MCA's new selection chief

Surendra Bhave, a member of the selection committee of the Board for Control of Cricket in India (BCCI) West Zone, has been appointed chairman of the Maharashtra Cricket Association (seniors).

The decision was taken at the MCA’s managing committee meeting held on Sunday. Bhave takes over from Pandurang Salgaonkar in the five-member committee, which includes coach Shaun Williams, Shrikant Jadhav and Kaiser Faikh. Pramod Kshire is chairman of the women’s senior selection committee.

Men senior selection committee: Surendra Bhave (chairman), Pandurang Salgaonkar, Shrikant Jadhav, Kaiser Faikh (members), Shaun Williams (coach).

Junior selection committee: Prashant Rai (chairman), Raju Kane, Mangesh Vaidya, Harshal Pathak (all members), David Andrews (coach).

Women cricket committee: Pradeep Deshmukh (chairman), Ameer Saleem, Vijay Bhosale (both members).
Senior selection committee: Pramod Kshire (chairman), Amrita Shinde, Yuvraj Patil (members), Madhavi Chitnis (trainer/manager), Sanjay Kondalkar (coach).

Under-19 selection committee: Shamkant Deshmukh (chairman), Dnyaneshwar Kakade, Ashwini Biniwale (members), Chandarani Kamble (trainer/manager).
