While more millennials are joining Snapchat, and the usage of Live Stories and Discover remains high, according to a new survey for Variety, the app still benefits the most from its messaging feature.

Among the 1,117 Snapchat users aged 13 to 24 surveyed in the US in February, around 44 percent used the app's Live Stories and/or Discover features at least daily. But chatting and messaging was still the most-used feature, at 69 and 73 percent, respectively.

Users also headed to Snapchat to look at short videos, with 59 percent utilizing the app for that purpose, while 30 percent used it to get information about the 2016 US presidential campaign. Only 10 percent of respondents used Snapchat to get information about celebrities, with the majority using Instagram or Twitter for updates on their favorite stars.
