Marc Andreessen puts out the most condescending tweet an Indian could ever read It isn't hard to believe that Marc Andreessen, best known for creating Mosaic--the first widely used Web browser--and member of Facebook, HP and Ebay’s board of directors is a little stung by TRAI’s verdict on differential pricing with adversely impacts Facebook’s Free Basics. But how the venture capitalist responded was nothing short of shocking. On 10 February, at around 9AM, Marc Andreessen put out this tweet implying that Indians would be better off if the country was still a colony of England, even going as fa2 as implying that Indians would see better financial times if the British were still ruling India, is outrageous. Marc Andreessen’s tweet understandably received flack from many Indians around the world--even his fellow classmate and National Technology Head for the BJP Arvind Gupta expressed his dissatisfaction with a tweet of his own. Following the outrage, Andreessen later retracted his tweet and posted another tweet in what appears to be a clearly half hearted attempt at apologizing.
