Lenovo to launch world's first Tango phone in September for $499

Lenovo announced a new range of phablets -- Phab 2, Phab 2 Plus and the Phab 2 Pro -- Which will be coming to the US in September. The range offers some exciting features, though the true highlight of the new range is the Phab 2 Pro that will be the first consumer device to support with Google’s Tango technology.

The new Tango technology add augmented reality to a smartphone and work much what you'd expect from a scaled-down version of Microsoft’s HoloLens. 

The Pro version of the series will come with a 6.4-inch QHD screen powered by a 4GB of RAM and a Snapdragon 652 chipset. Other key features will include a fingerprint scanner, 4,050mAh battery, Dolby Atmos 5.1 sound recording and an 8MP front camera. Though the 16-megapixel camera (with Tango) is what will rope most consumer.

The 16 camera comes with a wide-angle camera and special depth-sensing unit in order to support Tango. With all these components, the camera can map out an area, add augmented objects and track objects in the real word.

The Phab 2 pro will be available in September in US for $499 (Approx Rs 33,400) while the Phab 2 will retail for $199 (Approx Rs 13,300) and the Phab 2 Plus will set you back $299 (Approx Rs 20,000).
