US-based InFocus announces the launch of its M330 smartphone in India. The pre-registration for this handset opens exclusively on Snapdeal.com from 7 April, 2015 with the actual sale commencing on 10 April. Priced at Rs.9,999, it will be going up against the likes of the Yu Yureka, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G and the Huawei Honor 4X. The phone is yet another entrant into the lucrative sub-10K price limit that is seeing numerous products that are tuned toward mobile photography, 4G wireless and multi-day battery life.

This phone packs an octa-core 1.7 GHz 64-bit processor with a Mali-450 Quad Core GPU. On the memory front it has 2 GB of RAM and a 16 GB of inbuilt storage. The 13MP auto-focus main camera with F2.2 aperture is accompanied by an 8 MP auto-focus front camera that purportedly features several ‘beauty’ modes. Aiming to deliver a smoother user experience, the phone features a Black Screen Gesture feature where users can configure up to 15 screen gestures for achieving specific tasks directly from the lock screen.

Founded in USA in 1986, InFocus Corporation is primarily known for their projection and display technologies. The M330 marks their second foray into the Indian market after their Rs 4,999 M2 smartphone.
