Google has marked the Rosetta spacecraft’s historic comet landing with a doodle on its homepage.

The doodle features an animated version of the Philae lander along with the tagline “first controlled touchdown on comet nucleus,” the Mirror reported.

It’s taken 10 years for the European Space Agency (ESA) to get to this point, but the Rosetta mission has achieved what no other mission has achieved before; it’s safely landed on a comet more than 300 million miles away and is now gathering as much data as possible about its new home.

Philae will continue to study the comet it’s landed on and will send back data that should shed light on the origins of our solar system.
