It's that time of year again, with Apple's bi-monthly event upon us again. Last year's big announcements included the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6s, the Apple Watch and the mobile payment system Apple Pay. So what do we have in store this year?

Two new iPhones
It's no surprise that Apple is launching two new iPhones tonight, the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus, as is their standard follow up tactic as far as smartphones go. One major change we can expect to see is the rear cameras being upgraded from 8MP to 12MP, the first time that's happened since the iPhone 4S. There's also expected to be a new LED flash for the front camera, bump in memory to 2GB RAM, and , of course, the all new 3D force Touch.

New Apple TV
Apple's digital streaming hardware, the Apple TV will be relaunching in its fourth generation, with a likely US $149 price tag. Among some major changes are a redesigned remote with a touchpad and Wii-like motion controls, an A8 processor, and an Apple TV-specific app store. All this points towards Apple's gaming focus for the TV. There's also going to be some deep Siri integration, so watch out for that.

Other stuff
While there are some rumours about a new 12-inch business-friendly iPad, that's unfortunately been the talk for over a year with no progress. We can, however, expect a bit of fine tuning for Siri, specifically to help her integrate into an IoT smart home setting. Aside from that, we might hear about a few new features from iOS 9 and El Capitan, but we can definitely expect release dates for the two. A likely possibility is iOS 9 will launch next week, shortly before the new iPhones drop. The Apple Watch will also get some love with the new Watch OS 2, that will allow standalone apps for the Watch, instead of just running extensions from apps on your phone.

The event will begin at 10:30 pm IST (10:00 am PDT), so be sure to hit us up again for all the action, live.
